Job summary

Epiroc is hiring a Robotic Welder for our Dexter, MI facility to operate and maintain robotic welding tools in a safe, efficient manner and meet quality standards. This 2nd shift role requires hands-on welding, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering on weld changes.

Requires a high school diploma, 4+ years welding experience, MIG welding expertise, and the ability to read blueprints and welding symbols. 2:30 pm–1:00 am shift; onsite employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of welding and fitting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated MIG welding skill level.
• Must pass welder certification test.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain robotic welder to produce quality parts and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and demonstrate understanding of robotic controller functions.
• Update Rev Counters and collaborate with the Work Cell Controller.
• Program basic robot functions and work with Manufacturing Engineering on weld changes.
• Perform all welding types per blueprint specifications without fixtures.
• Set up and operate gas-shield MIG welder to meet blueprint specs.
• Use blueprints and welding symbols to complete work.
• Rework products and reprogram robot to ensure quality results.
• Execute inventory and computer transactions.
• Perform 5S duties to maintain workplace standards.
