Job summary

Syntron Material Handling Group is seeking a motivated Robotic Welder Operator/Programmer to operate, program, and maintain an IGM robotic MIG welding system. The role emphasizes welding experience, blueprint reading, and commitment to quality in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor IGM robotic MIG welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Create, modify, and optimize robotic welding programs to meet production and quality requirements.
  • Set up fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for robotic welding operations.
  • Perform weld parameter adjustments, teach points, and troubleshoot programming issues.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on robotic welding equipment.
  • Identify and correct welding defects and process issues.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve welding processes and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures related to welding and robotic equipment.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Robotic Welder Operator/Programmer to operate, program, and maintain an IGM robotic MIG welding system. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and/or robotic welding and possess a strong understanding of fabrication, blueprint reading, weld quality requirements, and manufacturing processes. Candidates with manual MIG welding experience who are interested in developing robotic programming skills are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Operate and monitor IGM robotic MIG welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.

  • Create, modify, and optimize robotic welding programs to meet production and quality requirements.

  • Set up fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for robotic welding operations.

  • Perform weld parameter adjustments, teach points, and troubleshoot programming issues.

  • Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.

  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on robotic welding equipment.

Qualifications


Required



  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to read tape measures and manufacturing drawings.

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical production tasks.


Preferred



  • Experience with MIG welding in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience operating or programming robotic welding systems.

  • Knowledge of IGM robotic welding equipment.

  • Ability to interpret weld symbols and fabrication drawings.

  • Familiarity with welding fixtures, jigs, and tooling.

  • Understanding of welding metallurgy and weld quality standards.

  • Forklift and overhead crane experience.
