Job summary

MAC Medical, Inc. is seeking a skilled Robot Welding Operator to apply welds on stainless steel components per specifications. You will read blueprints, set up fixtures, and operate MIG and TIG welding in a fabrication setting.

You will collaborate with welders, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals, document weld settings and maintain a clean, safe work area daily.

Qualifications

• Welding Certificate or 3 years of welding experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Proven experience operating welding robots or automated machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Robot Setup: Call up programs and navigate the robotic interface.
• Welding Operations: Start/stop robots, monitor performance, and ensure weld quality.
• Read blueprints and measure dimensions with tapes, calipers, and micrometers.
• Operate MIG and TIG welding as needed in fabrication.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and document production records.
• Collaborate with welders, engineers and supervisors to meet goals.

Description Operate OTC Robotic Welding equipment by applying welds per specifications to product components. Must be able to work with various codes, standards and specifications, create various jigs, program, re-program and work with carousels in a fabrication setting working with stainless steel to produce metal assembly parts

Essential Functions

Robot Setup

• Call up programs and navigate the robotic interface.
• Set up welding fixtures and tools to ensure proper alignment and fit.
• Load and unload materials to be welded by the robot.

Welding Operations

• Start and stop welding robots as needed to complete production tasks.
• Monitor robot performance.
• Ensure the quality and precision of welds, inspecting them for defects.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Must measure dimensions of production parts using tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and templates to ensure conformance with quality standards.
• Operate welding equipment, such as MIG and TIG welding as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of production, including weld settings, materials used, and work completed.
• Report any issues, defects, or incidents related to robot operation or welding quality.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with other team members, such as welders, engineers, and supervisors, to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Provide input and feedback to improve welding processes.
