Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 1st Shift Robot Welder/Operator to load fixtures, program and monitor robotic weld cycles, and unload finished parts in a Bedford, PA area facility. The role requires basic welding skills, attention to detail, and comfort with manual and automated equipment in a manufacturing setting.

The position is onsite, contract-to-hire, with a competitive hourly wage and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read SOPs and blueprints accurately.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic welding or tack welding as needed to support production.
• Experience around CNC machines or in a machining environment.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane safely and efficiently.
• Read and understand SOPs, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Comfort with general labor and production tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow SOPs for each job and setup.
• Load parts into fixtures, position components, and close clamps for welding.
• Start, monitor, and stop the robot welder cycle per specifications.
• Unload welded parts and place them in designated areas.
• Perform basic welding and tack welding when required.
• Operate overhead crane to move materials and parts safely.
• Maintain productivity and meet production targets in a manufacturing setting.
• Troubleshoot simple fixture or part-placement issues.
• Read blueprints/work instructions to understand weld locations.
• Collaborate with team to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
• Keep work area clean and safe per guidelines.
