Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints efficiently.
• Ability to program, edit, and troubleshoot robotic weld paths and parameters.
• Experience in MIG welding principles as applied to robotic systems.
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate robotic welding cells and fixtures, including teaching or editing weld paths and parameters
• Select and install proper welding consumables according to weld program specs and material types/thicknesses
• Determine required equipment and welding parameters using metallurgy, geometry, and robotic welding knowledge
• Prepare material surfaces for welding, ensuring cleanliness and absence of contaminants
• Position and secure workpieces in fixtures using hoists, cranes, or hand tools
• Monitor weld cycles for quality, troubleshoot issues, and make minor program adjustments
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment, torches, and fixtures
• Perform other tasks as assigned and required
