Job summary

Technique, Inc. in Michigan seeks a robotic welding technician to operate MIG/TIG welding on stainless and carbon steel, supporting QA with part layouts and inspections. The role includes developing production fixturing and operating welding robots, with basic GD&T and print-reading tasks.

Shift is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, vocational welding training, and 2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Vocational training in a STEM program or technical trades.
• 2 years welding experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.
• Read and apply basic weld symbols.
• Distinguish different material types and understand weld fixture locations.
• Change over wire and gas for regular operations.
• Set up and troubleshoot projection welder and adjust settings as needed.
• Complete basic blueprint reading tests.
