Job summary

Technique, Inc. is currently seeking a robotic welding technician to operate MIG/TIG welding equipment for stainless and carbon steel, supporting QA through part layouts and GD&T print reading. You will assist in production fixturing design and operate welding robots across all production phases.

Shift available: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; expectations include reading weld symbols, setting up welds, and handling physical demands of an active shop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in STEM or technical trades preferred.
• 2 years welding experience in an industrial setting required.

Responsibilities

• Set up the welder and weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.
• Read and apply basic weld symbols.
• Distinguish different material types.
• Understand weld fixture locations and return process.
• Change over wire and gas for regular operations.
• Set up and troubleshoot projection welder and adjust settings.
• Complete basic blueprint reading test.

Technique, Inc. is currently looking for a robotic welding technician who will use MIG/TIG welding equipment in accordance with job and customer demand, welding both stainless and carbon steel. The welder will support the quality assurance team with part layouts and inspections, requiring a basic knowledge of GD&T and print reading. They will also assist in the design, development and implementation of production fixturing, and operate and recover welding robots for all phases of production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to distinguish different material types
• Understanding of weld fixture locations and return process
• Ability to change over wire and gas for regular operations
• Demonstrate ability to set up and troubleshoot projection welder and change settings accordingly
• Basic blueprint reading test
