Job summary

Muncie Power Products in Fairmount, IN seeks a Full-Time Manual Labor welding operator to set up and operate robotic welding machines. You will stage materials, load/unload machines, and ensure parts meet drawings and specs while keeping safety a priority.

Experience with welding equipment, fixtures, MIG welding, and ABB/OTC robots is a plus; strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Understand work orders and work instructions.
• Understand quality requirements for multiple customers.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to use handheld measuring tools to confirm conformance.
• Knows when to seek clarification on problems.
• Experience with industry standard welding equipment, fixturing and tooling is a plus.
• Familiarity with weld symbols.
• Experience with ABB/OTC welding robots and MIG welding techniques a plus.

Responsibilities

• Staff and operate assigned machinery to facilitate production needs.
• Stage raw materials at designated work center.
• Load and unload machines.
• Use handheld tools/gauges to confirm in-process part conformance.
• Skid in-process parts in a manner that provides protection from damage.
• Ensure production identification and traceability.
• Conduct operator level maintenance when required.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
