Job summary

Muncie Power Products in Fairmount, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to set up and run a range of metal fabrication equipment. You will interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure part accuracy, stage materials, load machines, and perform basic maintenance.

This is a safety-sensitive role requiring teamwork and a strong work ethic. We value reliable attendance and the ability to read work orders, follow instructions, and maintain quality standards for multiple customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Understand work orders and verbal/written instructions.
• Understand quality requirements for multiple customers.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with fabrication equipment; 1-2 years preferred.
• Excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Staff and operate assigned machinery to facilitate production needs.
• Stage raw materials at designated work center.
• Load and unload machines.
• Use handheld tools/gauges to confirm in-process part conformance.
• Skid in-process parts to protect from damage.
• Ensure production identification and traceability.
• Conduct operator level maintenance when required.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
