Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a full-time welder to perform welding operations on customer products using manual and robotic equipment. You will verify filler metals, adjust gas flow, and follow setup sheets while training with robotic weld cells.

The role requires loading parts, welding per prints, carrying out quality checks, and maintaining tools and workspace to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding per customer specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret weld prints and setup sheets.
• Familiarity with weld processes, filler metals, and gas flow per WPS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal for weld operations per customer specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions.
• Perform welding operations on various customer products using manual and/or robotic welding equipment.
• Verify correct filler metal and adjust weld gas flow per WPS instructions.
• Set up manual weld machines or download programs per setup sheet instructions.
• Load and locate parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Weld parts per customer provided prints.
• Remove weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Operate robotic weld cells and rework parts to meet customer specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure work area is orderly and clean.
