Job summary

Adecco is seeking a hands-on Robotic Weld & Automation Technician to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting robotic welding cells and automated equipment to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial robots, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and automated equipment; FANUC robot experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with industrial robots, automation, equipment maintenance, or robotic welding.
• FANUC robot experience strongly preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems, controls, sensors, and automated equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Basic robot programming using a teach pendant.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair robots, welding cells, and automated equipment across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and controls.
• Diagnose and resolve robot faults in I/O, sensors, servos, motors, safety circuits, tooling, and welding equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on robots, EOAT, grippers, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Make basic robot program adjustments using a teach pendant.
• Verify mastering, calibration, tooling alignment, and programmed positions.
• Assist with installations, upgrades, and automation improvement projects.
• Document repairs and maintenance; help identify permanent corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to maintain standard work instructions.
