Job summary

North American Stamping Group is seeking a Weld & Automation Technician to provide technical support for robotic welding, resistance welding, and automated assembly equipment in the ABW department. Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred, with demonstrated experience supporting robotic welding, automated assembly, or similar production equipment.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots.
• Knowledge of MIG welding and resistance welding principles and applications.
• Experience with PLC diagnostics as related to production equipment troubleshooting.
• Industrial electrician, millwright, maintenance technician, automation technician, or similar technical experience preferred.
• Reference NASG ME-049 for applicable division-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for robotic welding and automated assembly equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot industrial robots used in welding.
• Interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Tooling, Maintenance, and other departments during new program launches.
• Follow NASG standards and safety procedures.
