Job summary

CRH, including Oldcastle Infrastructure, is seeking a welder to join our manufacturing team in California. You will read blueprints, set up MIG welding and operate robotic welding systems to build and repair welded parts per specifications.

The role requires ability to lift up to 40 lbs, familiarity with welding symbols, and basic measuring equipment usage. We offer competitive benefits, a 401(k) plan, health and disability coverage, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 1+ year of welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read shop drawings and weld basic products using GMAW.
• Ability to read welding symbols and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Welds product to specification.
• Reads and interprets blueprints for proper weld orientation.
• Operates robotic welding systems to support manufacturing operations.
• Ensures welded parts meet blueprint requirements.
• Assists in material handling, safety, and housekeeping as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Summary

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Job Responsibilities

• Fits and welds product to specification
• Reads and interprets blueprints to successfully weld parts in proper orientation using hand-held MIG torch or robotic welding equipment
• Acquire the skills necessary to operate and program robotic welding systems to support high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Ensures welded parts meet the requirements of the blueprint
• Assists in other duties as assigned including, but not limited to; material handling, housekeeping, safety committee activities, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, preferred
• At least 1 year of experience, preferred
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Ability to read shop drawings to weld basic products using GMAW
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols and concepts
• Ability to set-up a welding machine based on the Welding Procedure Specification for the job
• Lifting up to 40 lbs
