Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in California is seeking a Production Worker specialized in welding. You will join, fabricate, and repair metal parts to meet blueprint specifications, using MIG and robotic welding equipment.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up welding machinery per job procedures, and assisting with material handling, housekeeping, and safety activities on the shop floor. 1+ year of welding experience preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

Job Summary

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.

Job Responsibilities

• Fits and welds product to specification
• Reads and interprets blueprints to successfully weld parts in proper orientation using hand-held MIG torch or robotic welding equipment
• Acquire the skills necessary to operate and program robotic welding systems to support high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Ensures welded parts meet the requirements of the blueprint
• Assists in other duties as assigned including, but not limited to; material handling, housekeeping, safety committee activities, etc.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, preferred
• At least 1 year of experience, preferred
• Ability to use measuring equipment
• Ability to read shop drawings to weld basic products using GMAW
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols and concepts
• Ability to set-up a welding machine based on the Welding Procedure Specification for the job
• Lifting up to 40 lbs
