Technique, Inc. is seeking a Robotic Welding Technician / Programmer for our defense weld assembly plant in lower Michigan.

The role operates and programs robotic MIG/TIG welding cells, advancing from Level 1 to Level 2 with increasing responsibility for robot programming, fixture setup, troubleshooting, and process improvement. Responsibilities include troubleshooting via CMM reports, changing programs from PLC, applying GD&T, and preparing offline-programmed jobs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial welding experience required for both levels.
• Competency in Prototype Welding Technician Level 2 functions.
• Hands-on experience with Motoman, Panasonic, or Fanuc controllers.
• Demonstrated PLC screen navigation and program selection.
• Level 2 requires offline programming experience and independent CMM-driven troubleshooting.
• GD&T fluency appropriate to the level under consideration.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds; active work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot from CMM reports and recover robot from faults.
• Adjust points and parameters to maintain weld quality.
• Change programs from PLC screen for production changeovers.
• Apply intermediate GD&T to prints, layouts, and inspections.
• Change out fixtures to support job and program changes.
• Run and adjust robotic welders and prepare jobs with offline programming (Level 2).
• Independently troubleshoot robot welders and drive process improvements.
