Job summary

NIC Global is seeking a committed Welder/Assembler to fabricate metal components and assemble parts on our on-site shop floor in Spokane, WA. You will MIG and TIG weld, read blueprints, and support finishing operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with robotic weld equipment. We offer a family-like culture and comprehensive benefits to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training may be preferred.
• Experience reading prints and measuring with calipers/micrometers.
• MIG and TIG welding capability required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Operates robotic weld equipment. MUST BE ABLE TO MIG & TIG WELD.
• Produces assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures.
• Measures dimensions of work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, etc.
• Reads prints to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions.
• Safely completes finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires knowledge of physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques and allowance for thickness.
• MUST BE ABLE TO MIG & TIG WELD.
• High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
• Ability to read and understand welding procedures and procedure qualifying record (PQR's) for each procedure.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Requires basic knowledge of ABB IRC5 Robotic Controller.
