We are ISO/TS16949:2009 Third Edition Certified and specialize in prototype and short‑run jobs of 50,000 pieces or less. Our facilities are located in Ferndale, Michigan and we manufacture ferrous and non‑ferrous metals for automotive, truck, farming equipment, defense, and commercial industries.

Job Description

Duties & Tasks:

  • Perform weld operations using equipment and materials according to Production Package.
  • Set and adjust robotic weld equipment to ensure defect‑free welds.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
  • Inspect in‑process and finished parts for defective welds according to work instructions and procedures, ensuring quality standards are met for zero defects.
  • Repair welds using various welding techniques.
  • Place or pack finished parts into designated containers and ensure proper labeling.
  • Participate in training to increase knowledge of equipment, technology, and production capabilities of the robotic welder.
  • Complete required paperwork and computer entries accurately.
  • Communicate with co‑workers and supervisor.
  • Inform leader or management of any machine malfunction, production quality concerns, material requirements, or safety issues.
  • Perform repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting actions with materials weighing between 10 and 75 pounds.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly plant environment.
  • Monitor production and material supplies; notify appropriate personnel of shortages before they occur.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
  • Execute changeovers on the robot as business needs require.
  • Perform other related duties or work at different workstations as production needs require.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months or more of welding experience.
  • Familiarity with overhead crane.
  • Must be able to pass initial testing.
  • Must be able to work overtime based on business needs.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
