Job summary
Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join the Thoracic Surgery Associates team. The role emphasizes minimally invasive and robotic techniques (RATS) for non-cardiac thoracic procedures, including lobectomy and segmentectomy, with leadership in a growing thoracic oncology program.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with da Vinci robotics and VATS, and will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to advance
Qualifications
- MD or DO required, board-certified in Thoracic Surgery.
- Completion of accredited General Surgery residency.
- Completion of accredited Thoracic/Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
- Eligible for unrestricted California medical license.
- DEA registration and hospital privileging eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform complex thoracic procedures with emphasis on lobectomy and segmentectomy.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care conferences.
- Develop and lead thoracic oncology program and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, radiology and pathology.
- Contribute to teaching, research, and quality improvement.
