Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) in San Francisco, CA, seeks a board-certified Thoracic Surgeon to join our Thoracic Surgery Associates team. The role emphasizes minimally invasive and robotic techniques (RATS) and leadership of a growing thoracic oncology program.

The candidate will contribute to clinical and programmatic growth, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and drive high-quality, patient-centered thoracic care across the system. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required and board certified in thoracic surgery.
• Completion of accredited General Surgery residency.
• Completion of accredited Thoracic/Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship.
• Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical license.
• DEA registration and hospital privileging eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care conferences.
• Lead development of coordinated, patient-centered treatment plans.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Contribute to organizational goals related to access, outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
