Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Part-time Physician Assistant I (PA-1) to act as an operative first assistant across multiple service lines, including DaVinci robotics, general surgery, orthopedic, gynecologic, vascular, and urology. The PA-1 performs pre- and post-operative assessments, collaborates with clinicians, and coordinates care with departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a PA program that is certified by the ARC-PA.
• Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
• Must maintain current licensing as Physician Assistant in the State of Maryland.
• Must qualify for prescriptive authority (CDS and DEA).
• Must have the ability to work in both the operating room and inpatient units.
• Must maintain BLS Certification.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must function well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operating room and provides surgical assistance as requested by the supervising physician.
• Performs post-operative assessments and coordinates patient care with the team.
• Conducts admission H&Ps, daily progress notes, orders, and discharge planning.
• Participates in credentialed bedside procedures and hospital workflow as delegated.
• Supports quality initiatives and compliant professional billing.
