Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for full-time robotic first-assist duties across thoracic, urology, gynecology, colorectal, and general surgery. The role supports high-volume robotic procedures with a focus on patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 years of surgical experience desirable
• 1 year of robotic surgical experience preferred
• Excellent teamwork/people skills
• Must be certified by NCCPA and licensed in MA; maintain CME hours

Responsibilities

• Assist in multispecialty robotic surgery as the first assistant.
• Perform preoperative duties: H&P review, patient positioning, prepping and draping.
• Execute robotic steps: port placement, retraction, suction/irrigation, tissue handling, suturing.
• Provide postoperative orders and patient transport as needed.
• Train bedside personnel and participate in education/QA meetings.
• Pursue attending-mentored clinical research involving robotic surgery.
