Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC currently seeks a Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor in the Morrisville area to establish the jobsite control network, own the Building Model in the field, and supervise survey crews. The role requires collaboration with the Project Team and proficiency with BIM processes.

The candidate should have experience with data collectors, robotic total stations, Carlson software, and common BIM tools; reading blueprints and safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Robotic Field Engineer or Survey Crew Chief preferred.
• Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap.
• Ability to collaborate with the entire Project Team.
• General knowledge of BIM and its processes.
• Able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift up to 70 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to read blueprints, operating manuals, shop drawings, and safety rules.
• Experience with data collectors, electronic or robotic total stations, digital levels, tripod, prism, Carlson Explorer and Carlson software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced math skills (algebra and trigonometry).

Responsibilities

• Establish jobsite Control Network for use by all trades and technologies including scanners, drones, and 360 degree imaging devices.
• Own Building Model in field and share information with Project Team.
• Incorporate subcontractor submittals and shop drawings into Building Model to verify buildability and identify conflicts.
• Supervise and educate Rodpersons and other crew members.
• Oversee some subcontractor work activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment.
