Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is seeking a Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor to establish field control networks and maintain Building Model integrity on active projects. You will collaborate with the Project Team on site and operate data collection tools.

You will use robotic total stations, data collectors, and BIM software, reading blueprints and coordinating with trades while maintaining safety in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Robotic Field Engineer or Survey Crew Chief preferred.
• Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap or willingness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate with the entire Project Team.
• General knowledge of BIM processes.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with data collectors and robotic total stations.

Responsibilities

• Establish jobsite Control Network for use by all trades and technologies including scanners, drones, and 360 imaging devices
• Own Building Model in field context and share information with Project Team
• Incorporate Subcontractor submittals into the Building Model to verify buildability and identify conflicts
• Supervise and educate Rodpersons and other crew members
• Oversee some subcontractor work activities as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must adhere to safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment
