Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a Robotic Field Engineer / Construction Surveyor to establish the jobsite control network and own the Building Model in the field. You will share information with the project team and verify buildability by integrating subcontractor submittals and shop drawings.

The role requires collaboration with the Project Team, BIM knowledge, and the ability to work at heights and in all weather.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Robotic Field Engineer or Survey Crew Chief preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap.
• Able to collaborate with the entire Project Team.
• Solid understanding of BIM processes.
• Able to work at elevated heights and lift up to 70 lbs; outdoors in all weather.
• Able to read blueprints and maintenance manuals.
• Experience with data collectors and robotic total stations.

Responsibilities

• Establish jobsite Control Network for use by all trades and technologies including but not limited to scanners, drones, and 360 degree photographic imaging devices
• Assume ownership of Building Model as it pertains to field and share information with Project Team
• Evaluate and incorporate Subcontractor submittals including shop drawings into the Building Model as needed to verify buildability and identify potential conflicts
• Supervise and educate Rodpersons and other crew members
• May oversee some subcontractor work activities, as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
