Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Systems Engineer, Robotaxi to translate the reference architecture into actionable architecture for a driver-out system, covering the vehicle, onboard compute, and offboard capabilities. You will collaborate with OEMs, Tier1s, and Robotaxi operators to define boundaries and drive technical discussions.

Your scope includes owning parts of the Robotaxi architecture, converting use cases into requirements and interfaces, and supporting bring-up, issue triage, and impact analysis.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in robotaxi or production-intent autonomous systems.
• Systems engineering across multiple subsystems (vehicle, sensors, compute, ADS).
• Ability to translate use cases into system requirements, interfaces, and verification plans.
• Experience defining system/product boundaries with OEMs, Tier1s, and operators.

Responsibilities

• Own the systems engineering for defined Robotaxi architecture parts (e.g., vehicle/ADS interfaces, offboard boundaries, fleet/cloud integration).
• Translate use cases and constraints into system requirements, interfaces, and verification-ready specs.
• Lead technical discussions with OEM/Tier1/operator partners to define boundaries and architecture.
• Apply reference architecture to vehicle programs across sensors, compute, and interfaces.
• Support bring-up planning, issue triage, and design-change impact analysis.
• Escalate trade-offs to the lead Robotaxi System Architect and domain owners.
