Job summary

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company, Beatrice, Nebraska, seeks a 1st Shift Robot Weld Assist to operate robotic weld equipment, load and unload weldments, and monitor weld quality. You will follow safety procedures, use PPE, and coordinate with the core team to ensure timely production.

The role involves basic technical tasks, Lean improvements, and daily fixture maintenance. The position pays $22.24 per hour with potential overtime and requires adherence to 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic technical knowledge and ability to follow standard work procedures.
• Experience using power tools is helpful.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety processes.
• Lean methodologies should be understood and applied when possible.

Responsibilities

• Load weldments onto robotic weld fixture by hand or via hoist.
• Unload weldments from robotic weld fixture by hand or via hoist.
• Start machine, engage feed and observe operation.
• Inspect welds and notify supervisor of issues.
• Check inventory and requisition parts as needed.
• Inspect finished weld for correct weld count and quality.
• Coordinate with team members and supervisor as necessary.
• Perform daily maintenance on fixtures (torch alignment, cleaning, consumables).
• Apply Lean principles to continuously improve processes.
• Willingly perform other duties as assigned.

1st Shift Robot Weld Assist

Hours: 6:00AM - 2:00PM (Hours will vary with overtime) Pay: $22.24

What Will You Do?

• Wear all required PPE and follow all safety processes and policies.
• Load weldments onto robotic weld fixture either by hand or by utilizing hoist.
• Unload weldments from robotic weld fixture either by hand or by utilizing hoist.
• Starts machine, engages feed and observes operation.
• Assures quality of parts coming off of the robot by inspecting and notifying welder and/or supervisor of any issues.
• Checks inventory to ascertain that all necessary parts and quantities are available, and if necessary, requisition appropriate quantity of items from material handler.
• Inspects finished robot weld for correct number of welds as well as overall quality of welds.
• Coordinate/communicate with core team members and/or supervisor as necessary.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks on fixtures including but not limited to running robot through torch alignment, clean fixtures, change weld consumables (tips, nozzles, diffusers) Maintain clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
• Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Some technical knowledge and ability to follow standard work and procedures. Experience in using power tools helpful.
