Job summary

Exmark, a division of The Toro Company located in Beatrice, Nebraska, seeks engineers at entry to mid level to evaluate prototype performance and coordinate field tests. The role involves supporting testing programs with engineering collaboration and ensuring quality alignment with product parameters.

Ideal candidates have an ABET-accredited bachelor’s in engineering or engineering technology, CAD experience, and a mechanical aptitude.

• ABET-accredited engineering/engineering technology bachelor’s degree required.
• Engineering experience: 0–4 years for Engineer I/II depending on level.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety standards familiarity preferred.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Aids in evaluation of performance of prototype and production equipment in field and simulated field conditions according to product parameters.
• Directs and conducts field and laboratory testing of products or components.
• Designs and directs construction of test fixtures and test procedures to simulate field use for lab performance and durability testing.
• Organizes test programs including facilities, manpower, procedure and timing.
• Reviews product designs for potential weak areas.
• Reviews designs for potential latent safety defects.
• Performs concept evaluations on products submitted.
• Reports results on a timely basis.
• Works with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to coordinate prototype builds.
• Works with Quality engineers to plan production validation program.
• Evaluates results and recommends corrective action when required.
• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
• Supports the company Quality Policy by applying the total quality principles.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• B.S. Engineering, Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited college or university). Engineer I-0-2 years related experience
• Engineer II-2-4 years related experience Mechanical aptitude required
• Preferred to Have: Experience with safety standards CAD experience Data analysis

• Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $72,200.00 - 90,000.00. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
