Job summary

Exmark, Beatrice, Nebraska, a division of The Toro Company, seeks a 2nd Shift Production Associate. This role runs 2pm–10pm and pays $20.22 base plus lead $2.00 and shift differential $2.00, totaling $24.22 per hour.

You will estimate, requisition, inspect materials, ensure specifications, interpret drawings, enforce safety, train new employees, and support lean production methods to meet schedules and maintain 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor's discretion).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders and procedure manuals.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Meet production quotas and maintain quality standards.
• Responsible for training new employees.

What Will You Do?

• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials to meet production goals.

• Thorough knowledge of activities of workers supervised.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Responsible for 3 Tier meetings with employees.
• Follow written standard work and be able to develop standard work and maintain.
• Responsible for updating production boards, hourly.
• Assist in driving the job rotation program.
• May provide input on performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints and resolving problems for employees in group.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires 18 months of on-the-job experience (or supervisor's discretion).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete paperwork and correspondence.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage.
