Base pay range

$42.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Job Title: Robot Programmer / Robotics Engineer.

Location: 6181 Taylor Dr. Flint, MI 48507.

Hourly Range (based on experience): $42 to $50.

We are looking for experienced Robot Programmers knowledgeable with General Motors standards and Fanuc Robots. Experience in Bodyshop applications is required.

Job description: The Senior Robot Programmer is responsible for managing projects, supervise and coordinate groups of people to resolve complex engineering problems. The individual is expected to have extensive experience in implementing robotic systems and project management. This position is required to work at customer sites and locations. Shift work is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities between groups of robotic engineers and support resources.
  • Create and teach others how to create new robot programs using the teach pendant.
  • Supervise teams of robot programmers and create and execute manpower schedules.
  • Debug and teach others how to debug robot interfaces.
  • Provide technical direction.
  • Provide design suggestions for end or arm tooling and system improvements.
  • Adjust robot end of arm tooling and tooling the robot interfaces with.

Must Have

  • Minimum of 5 + years in Robotics. Preferably Fanuc robots.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Robotics Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of GM robot standards.
  • Strong understanding of controls prints.
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex robotic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Travel is required.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Must be Fanuc DCS certified.
  • Must be GM GRS certified.
  • Willingness to learn robot guided vision.

Nice To Have

  • An engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics or Mechatronic is preferred.
  • Experience in robot guided vision a plus.
  • Experience with robot guided picking, placing, and part inspection.
  • AIA certification.
  • Knowledge of Fusion 360.
  • Knowledge of PLC Controls.

Note: This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for candidates with senior-level experience in robot engineering. All employees are required to pass a background check and drug test to work at our customer locations.
