Job Description: Robotic Weld Technician | Robot Programmer | Automation Technician

Position Summary for Robotic Weld Technician / Robot Programmer / Automation Technician:

We are seeking an experienced Robotic Weld Technician, Robot Programmer, or Automation Technician.

Shift Times for this Position:
  • 1st Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM (8-hour days) and 6:00AM to 4:30PM (10-hour days). Must be open to working until 4:30 when needed. (Monday – Saturday, half day on Saturday)
  • 2nd Shift (Flexible Start Time): 2:30PM to 10:30PM or 2:30PM to 2:30AM. Start times vary between 8 and 10-hour shifts. (Monday – Saturday, half day on Saturday)
  • 3rd Shift (Flexible Start Time): 9:30PM to 5:30AM or 11:30PM to 7:30AM. Start times vary between 8 and 10-hour shifts. (Monday – Saturday, half day on Saturday)
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
  • Design, develop, and implement robot programs for automation systems, including industrial robots, cobots, and AGVs.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to analyze client requirements and develop programming solutions.
  • Configure and customize robot software to meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Integrate robotic systems with other equipment and control systems for seamless workflows.
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot robotic systems to ensure reliable operation.
  • Optimize robot trajectories and motion profiles for efficiency and precision.
  • Maintain documentation such as technical specifications and user manuals.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and post-implementation.
  • Stay updated on robotics and automation advancements to enhance company capabilities.
  • Strong programming skills in RAPID, KUKA KRL, Fanuc TP, or similar languages.
  • Experience with industrial robot programming and integration across various brands.
  • Understanding of robotic kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
  • Familiarity with vision systems, sensors, PLCs, and automation technologies.
  • Experience with offline programming software (e.g., RoboDK, RobotStudio) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve programming issues efficiently.
Robot Brands and Applications:

Brands include ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Panasonic, OTC, Motoman, and more. Applications include welding, pick and place, material handling, painting, resistance welding, sealing, and more. Robot axes range from 3 to 8 axes.

Compensation Range:
  • Hourly: $38.00 to $50.00
  • Time and a Half after 40 hours
  • Double Time on Sundays
