Job summary

Persimmon Technologies, based in Bedford, MA, seeks an experienced assembler/test technician for on-site role. You will perform moderately complex assembly and testing with limited supervision, troubleshoot routine issues, and contribute to incremental process improvements.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in Electrical/Electronic/Semiconductor fields, can read drawings in English, and are proficient with ERP/MES systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Electrical/Electronic/Semiconductor or relevant industry.
• Good attention to detail, accountability for workspace, and 6S adherence.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex assembly and testing with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot routine issues and contribute to process improvements.
• Read simple drawings and work instructions in English.
• Train Technician I employees and provide feedback on documentation.
• Maintain production schedules and priorities.

Summary: Performs moderately complex assembly and testing with limited supervision. Troubleshoots routine issues and contributes to process improvements.

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Direct Reports: This position does not have any direct reports.

Skills Required

• Assemble components, subassemblies, and precision electomechanical systems according to work instructions
• Use hand tools, torque drivers, and basic measuring instruments.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and multimeters
• Understands torque requirements and tolerances
• Ability to read simple drawings and work instructions in English
• Computer savvy, accurately record work performed in ERP/MES systems
• Follow ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols
• Perform vacuum leak checks and alignment tasks
• Execute standard test procedures
• Diagnose and correct common assembly issues
• Ability to train Technician I employees
• Provide feedback on documentation improvements
• Maintain production schedules and priorities

Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Electrical/Electronic/Semiconductor or relevant industry
• Good attention to detail, taking accountability for your workspace, and following 6S guidelines
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the business requirements

Education Required

• Technical school or associate degree preferred but not required

Other Requirements

• Work is sedentary in nature, but may require standing, walking, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $28 to $36 per hour/year. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, internal equity, and geographical location.
