Reflection Robotics in Seattle seeks a founding Robot Deployment Engineer to install and run robots on-site, diagnose issues, and keep the fleet operational in the field and back at the office.
You'll travel domestically and internationally to deployments, calibrate hardware, and work closely with customers to automate tasks while providing clear feedback to engineering.
Getting a robot into a customer's facility, installed and running well enough that it changes how that customer works, is one of the most important things we do. We're looking for a founding Robot Deployment Engineer to be the person who makes that happen, again and again, in environments we don't fully control: installing robots on-site, diagnosing issues for customers, and keeping the whole fleet running, in the field and back in our office, along with representing us at tradeshows.
This is a hands-on role, both in our Seattle office and on the road. Day to day, you'll maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot our fleet of robots in-house, keeping them running for the engineering team. When it's time to deploy, you'll travel to set up and calibrate robots on-site, work with customers to automate their real tasks, and troubleshoot whatever comes up when the environment doesn't match what worked back at headquarters. You'll travel, sometimes on short notice, domestically and internationally, because that's where the robots are. And because you're the one with hands on the hardware, in-house and in the field, you'll also be one of our most important sources of truth: what breaks, what confuses customers, what the engineering team got wrong about how this thing actually gets used.
Beyond installs, you'll represent Reflection Robotics at tradeshows and help with data collection efforts that feed directly into our models. As a founding hire, there's no playbook yet for a lot of this. You'll help write it.
We care much more about how you think and what you've built than a specific degree or years-of-experience number. If you've done work that maps to this but doesn't check every box above, we'd still like to hear from you.
