Job summary

Tyson Foods in Robards, KY is hiring for a forklift operator responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading, and keeping a safe work environment.

The role requires at least 3 months of work history with one employer; forklift experience preferred; training available to obtain license; reading invoices and packing slips; physical duties include lifting up to 70 pounds and working in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading skids and moving product to necessary location.
• Obtain forklift license and change battery as needed (training will available).
• Maneuver pallet jack around tables and belts.
• Continuously grip control handle of the jack.
• Driver must be aware of all obstacles in travel areas.
• Complete various log sheets, maintain equipment while in possession.
• Exposed to possible warm or cold temperatures, wet or dusty conditions.
• Perform walking, bending, standing, turning, pulling, twisting, and lifting up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
• Must be able to read invoices, packing slips, records of materials, etc.

Functions

• Operating a jack and forklift
• Moving product to necessary location
• Loading and unloading blast cell and freezer racks
• Assist in all areas as needed/assigned

Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks
