Job summary

Joe Coffee Company seeks a General Manager, Roasting and Production, to report to the Director of Roasting and oversee roasting and production operations, supervising the Roasting & Production team. The role focuses on overseeing order processing, packaging quality, distribution, customer service, and staffing, with emphasis on implementing operational systems, cost management, and staff development.

Salary range $66,300 – $76,000; leadership, cross-department collaboration, and adherence to

Qualifications

• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (Google Docs, Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of CRMs and production/e-commerce systems (Salesforce, Shipstation, Wordpress).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience leading supervisors and staff.
• Willing to train candidates with positive, team-oriented, problem-solving attitudes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the roasting team through managing and scheduling large scale customer orders, including bulk roasting.
• Oversee production supplies, inventory, production planning and preparation, workflow, and staffing by understanding roles and shifts and leading by example.
• Oversight of packaging and distribution quality control and ensuring labeling conformity with contracts.
• Use effective communication to align inputs from departments and clients, and communicate plans to the Roasting & Production team.
• Work with Roasting leadership to hire, train, evaluate and motivate staff; compose regular department schedules.
