Job summary

Joe Coffee seeks a General Manager, Roasting and Production to oversee roasting, production, packaging, and distribution from the Long Island City facility. You will supervise the Roasting & Production team and collaborate with senior leaders to meet contracts and quality standards.

The role emphasizes staff leadership, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination to drive efficient operations, quality control, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (Google Docs, Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of CRMs and other production systems or e-commerce software (Salesforce, Shipstation, Wordpress, etc).
• Strong organizational skills.
• A minimum of 3 years management experience leading a group of supervisors and team members in an operational environment.
• Willing to train candidates with positive, team-oriented, problem-solving attitudes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee roasting and production planning for large orders and bulk roasting.
• Ensure packaging quality and labeling conforms to aesthetic standards and contractual obligations.
• Lead and develop staff with scheduling, evaluations, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with Directors and leadership to optimize prices, labor, and workflow targets.
