Job summary

Madcap Coffee Company, Inc. seeks a Roastery Operations & Green Coffee Manager to lead sourcing, roasting, production, quality, packaging, and shipping.

You’ll develop the Roastery team and ensure coffee supply, systems, and capacity to meet demand and growth. You’ll own green coffee procurement, forecasting, and inventory plans, negotiate with producers, and drive cost control while maintaining Madcap’s quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold a team accountable.
• Exceptional sensory and cupping skills to evaluate green coffee for quality and flavor.
• Deep knowledge of green coffee sourcing, roasting, QC, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical ability with forecasting, inventory, costs, and operating data.
• Ability to make real-time purchasing decisions in origin travel and producer visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Roastery team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Own green coffee sourcing, procurement, planning, and inventory management.
• Lead production planning, roasting, packaging, fulfillment, and logistics to meet demand.
• Maintain and improve coffee quality through cupping, QC, and sensory evaluation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership on capacity, cost, and strategy.
