Primex Farms, LLC is seeking a Roaster Lead Operator (Tier 2) to oversee roasting activities and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in Wasco, CA. You will manage a crew, calibrate roasters, and maintain logs and process records to support CCP controls within HACCP.

You will coordinate with QA, Maintenance, Scheduling, and Production Management, train staff, and uphold all GMP and allergen controls. Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and work in hot environments.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret food-safety policies, GMP requirements, procedures, schedules, production instructions, diagrams, and process records
• Ability to perform basic production math accurately
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, technical troubleshooting, and process-control skills
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds or more and work in hot, noisy environments with processing equipment

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and maintain required annual HACCP training
• Ensure roasting activities follow food safety, quality, regulatory, customer, and approved process requirements
• Assist with roaster calibration and verification of validated roasting parameters
• Coordinate employees assigned to roasting operations, including work assignments, breaks, and production coverage
• Maintain clean, organized staging areas and allergen/product segregation
• Open and manage roasting work orders in NAV and ensure ingredients and materials are available
• Conduct food-safety and operational inspections before startup; document findings and report deviations
• Verify correct product, lot, PO, and customer requirements before product enters the roaster
• Complete all required startup and hourly process checks
• Set and monitor temperature, salt-brine, bed speed, bed depth, flow, and other parameters
• Monitor and document salinity, flow-meter readings, temperatures, and other measurements
• Troubleshoot and adjust processes; upscale abnormal conditions
• Maintain roasting logs and production documentation
• Coordinate with QA, Maintenance, Scheduling, Warehouse, Sanitation, and Production Management
• Train roasting employees on procedures and safe work practices
• Communicate food-safety incidents and equipment problems to appropriate personnel
• Suggest and support process improvements relating to safety, quality, consistency, and efficiency
• Follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and allergen requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors or Managers
