Director, Global Partnerships and Roaming Services
The Roaming Partner Management team is a specialist team within ChargePoint responsible for maintaining, strengthening, and growing ChargePoint’s 300+ roaming and OCPI-based partnerships across Europe and North America. It builds new relationships with market players, negotiates and manages agreements, and is overall responsible for the health of these partners connected via various APIs. This team is supported by various functions in the business, including the Roaming Operations team, Engineering, Customer Excellence, Finance, and Legal.
This role will build new relationships with key third-party Charge Point Operators (CPOs), e-Mobility Service Providers (eMSPs), and other entities (e.g., mapping services) that would connect to ChargePoint’s software platforms via API in North America. The successful candidate will sign new agreements and work with our Roaming Operations team to implement new APIs to the partners.
The candidate will manage existing relationships with the ecosystem of partners that exist today in North America, including managing partnership meetings, contract amendments, and ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis. This includes being a part of our financial clearing processes and being a key point of contact in operational escalations. It also includes supporting the migration of existing partners to new technical interfaces in coordination with the roaming operations team.
The candidate will play a role in industry bodies and forums as relevant in alignment with our policy and standards teams and will work closely with our product management, engineering, CX, and operations teams to support the release of new features and enhancements.
Certain activities performed by the candidate may require tracking of hours that can be billed to customers. There will be elements of this role that will involve reporting or discovery activities with customers (eMSPs and CPOs).
• At least 5 years of previous experience in partnership management or business development, or similar experience that demonstrates a capacity to build and manage relationships, influence stakeholders, and negotiate agreements in a complex environment.
• The capacity to build deep expertise in our roaming / OCPI services and functionality.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• A customer-centric and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness and ability to own problems to their resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to work with software tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and Excel. Experience with tools such as Atlan, Tableau, Kibana, and other similar platforms is a plus.
• Previous experience in a SaaS company or within the automotive, energy, or CleanTech industry is a plus.
• Previous exposure to finance processes around AR and/or AP is a plus.
• Previous exposure to US and CA tax law is a plus.
• Experience in, or exposure to, policy and regulatory topics is a plus.

• Affinity for e-mobility and sustainability topics.
• Passion for solving complex problems.
• Willingness to travel within the USA and internationally occasionally for workshops with internal stakeholders, partners, or customers (including to Europe).
• Previous roaming-related (e.g., OCPI) knowledge or experience is a plus.
