H&H in Portland, ME is seeking a Roadway/Transportation Designer to join the Highway Group. You will contribute to highway and drainage design, work with experienced professionals, and develop technical skills on diverse transportation projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration, CAD proficiency, and attention to detail; EIT preferred and BSCE required; strong communication and math skills expected.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
• 0–5 years civil engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Experience with Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong math skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the design and development of conceptual alternatives and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.
• Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans, as well as traffic, signing, and striping plans.
• Perform geometric design and plan development using computer-aided design software, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, AutoTurn, and GuideSign.
• Assist in the design of ADA-compliant facilities, including sidewalks, shared-use paths, and intersection curb ramps.
