Job summary

H&H in Bedford, NH seeks a Roadway/Transportation Designer to join our Highway Group. You will assist with highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage design, gaining hands-on experience on diverse transportation projects.

The role supports designers with geometric design, plan production, and traffic-control planning using MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D and related Bentley tools. A BSCE and EIT are preferred, with 0–5 years of civil experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree required.
• 0–5 years civil engineering experience.
• EIT certification and internship preferred.
• Experience with Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of conceptual alternatives and final design plans for highway, roadway, interchange, and drainage projects.
• Assist in design and production of traffic control and staging plans, as well as traffic, signing, and striping plans.
• Perform geometric design and plan development using CAD software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, InRoads, AutoTurn, GuideSign).
• Assist in ADA-compliant facility design (sidewalks, shared-use paths, curb ramps).
