Job summary

Lexington Maintenance is seeking a driver to operate a tandem truck, haul materials, and manage traffic control signs on the Department of Transportation right-of-way. The role includes maintaining logs, performing preventive maintenance, and occasionally working extended shifts in hazardous weather or emergencies.

Candidates must have at least six months of related work experience, a valid operator’s license, and must obtain a Class A CDL within six months of placement.

Qualifications

  • Six months of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
  • Requires a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tandem truck to haul materials to and from job sites.
  • Set up traffic control signs and barricades per SCMUTCD.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and keep truck clean.
  • Maintain logs of daily work, missing and new signs.
  • Occasionally work 12-hour shifts or overtime during emergencies.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and work near traffic.
