Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to perform on-site roadway worker protection for activities on and around live tracks. You will coordinate job sites, manage dispatcher/train communication, and oversee On Track Safety in controlled and non-controlled areas.

Travel across multiple states will be required to support projects. Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of track or construction experience, a high school diploma or GED, and On Track Worker certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of track/construction experience.
• CSX FCI On Track Worker certification or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection on each assignment, ensuring adherence to rules and clear radio communication with dispatchers and engineers.
• Perform daily job briefings with all personnel and ensure safety requirements are followed.
• Prepare and submit electronic forms for job set ups, daily work reports, invoices, and other reports as required.
• Handle and place signs, derail and other equipment weighing 15–90 pounds as needed.
• Maintain communication with RWIC supervisors and managers regarding assignments and schedules.
