Qualifications

• Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
• Work Experience: 5 YEARS in Roadway maintenance, construction, traffic systems management, or related work.
• Substitutions: Valid driver’s license. CDL Class A at time of application with 120 days to obtain N endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparing and giving presentations to the public regarding area of responsibility.
• Assists in scheduling equipment, material and personnel for a project.
• Assists in the procurement and payment of specialized contractors for incident cleanup and removal.
• Ensures projects follow established safety guidelines.
• Ensures vehicles are properly equipped and maintained.
• Handles public complaints.
• Inspects road conditions, work-in-progress and work completed by crews and contractors.
• Operates light and heavy roadway equipment.
• Performs administrative duties such as maintaining records on materials, supplies and personnel.
• Trains employees on equipment use and procedures.
• Coordinates scheduling of equipment, materials, and personnel for a project.
• Coordinates inventory and distribution of PPE, safety inspections, and incident reports.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned
