Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation's Fort Worth District seeks a Special Jobs Coordinator based in Saginaw, TX. Coordinates and schedules equipment, materials, and personnel for special transportation jobs and activities, leading the work of maintenance crews and contractors.

The position requires high school graduate, 5 years road maintenance/related experience, valid driver’s license and Class A CDL with 120 days to obtain N endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• 5 YEARS in Roadway maintenance, construction, traffic systems management, or related work.
• Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates scheduling of equipment, materials, and personnel for a project.
• Coordinates inventory and distribution of personal protective equipment, monthly safety related inspections, and completes safety incident related reports.
• Inspects road conditions, work-in-progress and work completed by the crews and contractors.
• Operates light and heavy roadway equipment.
• Trains employees on the use of equipment and procedures.
