Job summary

Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Roadway Project Manager for an engineering firm in Newark, Ohio. This role focuses on directing project execution, managing design deliverables, and maintaining client relationships while leading a technical team.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of civil engineering design experience, a PE license (or ability to obtain in Ohio within 6 months), and strong CAD skills to support engineering work and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE registration in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 6+ years of engineering design experience.
• Experience using CAD software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to direct engineering work and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple roadway and transportation projects from planning through delivery.
• Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, quality, and deliverables.
• Direct and coordinate engineering design and plan production activities.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with project stakeholders.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering team members.
• Perform technical engineering and CAD work as needed.
• Support roadway operations studies and geometric evaluations.
• Oversee geometric roadway design and related engineering activities.
• Coordinate utilities and review plan notes and details.
• Ensure design compliance with applicable regulations.
• Participate in client relations visits and business development activities.
• Assist with letters of interest, statements of qualifications, and scope and fee proposals.
