Roadway Project Manager

Our Kansas Division seeks an experienced Project Manager to handle complex assignments with growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and experience in designing roadways, highways, and interstates. You'll work on various infrastructure projects for State DOTs, local municipalities, and private clients, including roads, sidewalks, greenways, parks, multimodal improvements, and bridge replacements. Coordination with hydraulic, traffic, structures, environmental, and other disciplines is essential.

Location

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with work from any Kansas or Missouri office, including Kansas City, KS; Topeka, KS; Wichita, KS; Manhattan, KS; Lenexa, KS; or Kansas City, MO.

The Impact You Will Have

• Managing transportation projects (state and municipal highway/roadway)
• Leading project teams, budgets, and schedules
• Mentoring junior staff
• Supporting Kansas and regional growth initiatives
• Building relationships with key clients, including DOTs and municipalities

What You Will Need

• B.S. in Engineering or related field and a Professional Engineering License
• Excellent communication and client relation skills
• Experience presenting to officials and at conferences
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Experience in transit planning, analyses, and grants management
• Project management experience, including budgeting and quality control
• Ability to work independently and manage project teams
• Experience with public bidding processes
