Civil Service Title: Administrative Construction Project Manager (NM)
This position involves serving as a Project Manager/Engineer-In-Charge within the Bureau of Capital Design and Construction, overseeing various groups such as East River Bridges, Movable Bridges, Roadway Bridges, Component Rehabilitation, or Specialty Engineering. Responsibilities include managing all functions related to the construction and rehabilitation of the City’s bridges, reviewing contract documents, planning schedules, and coordinating with external agencies like NYSDOT. The role also involves advising on project goals, evaluating contractor performance, reviewing cost estimates, supervising staff, and ensuring project objectives are met.

At least six years of full-time experience in construction management on capital projects of at least $15,000, including 18 months in a managerial or consultative capacity. The experience can include:
A NYS licensed professional engineer or registered architect, or reciprocity from another state, can substitute for the educational and experience requirements, provided the candidate has at least six years of relevant construction management experience, including 18 months in a managerial role.
Valid NY State Motor Vehicle Driver License, maintained during employment.
