Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer to lead roadway design efforts on our Roadway team. You will coordinate project tasks, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, and 6+ years in highway/roadway design. You will collaborate with project managers and clients to produce plans, calculations, and construction documents while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance across

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
PE license required.
6+ years of highway/roadway design experience.
Experience leading transportation project tasks and coordinating project teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and preparation of roadway plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering reports.
Coordinate project design activities and manage schedules/budgets.
Serve as a technical lead on roadway projects and mentor staff.
Prepare and review design calculations, technical documents, and construction plans.
Coordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, and internal teams.
Assist with project planning, scope development, and proposals.
Perform QA/QC to ensure engineering accuracy.
Support construction administration and respond to contractor questions.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain project documentation.
Maintain compliance with company standards and regulations.
