Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Tulsa, Oklahoma team. You will contribute to planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects, collaborating with experienced engineers and project managers to develop high-quality roadway solutions.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 4+ years in highway design, and a PE license. You will work with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D on local municipal or DOT projects, upholding design standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of highway/roadway design experience.
• Experience with local municipalities or DOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Understanding of roadway design standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare roadway design plans, specifications, and engineering calculations for transportation projects.
• Assist with the development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate design activities with internal team members and outside stakeholders.
• Apply engineering standards, agency requirements, and design criteria to project work.
• Perform quality control reviews of design documents and calculations.
• Support permitting, utility coordination, and construction documentation efforts.
• Assist with project coordination and communication with clients, agencies, and consultants.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction support activities as needed.
• Maintain project documentation and organized project records.
• Adhere to company safety standards and applicable regulations.
