Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer / Task Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of WisDOT highway projects in Wisconsin. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Required are a Civil Engineering degree and a WI PE license (or reciprocity). Five+ years of roadway design experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D are expected; MicroStation a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway or highway design and transportation engineering.
• Experience delivering WisDOT projects and working with Wisconsin standards.
• PE license in WI or ability to obtain by reciprocity.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and delivery of roadway projects from concept through final design.
• Apply roadway design expertise while managing scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with traffic, drainage, structures, environmental, utilities, and construction teams.
• Mentor engineers and designers; support client relationships and project planning.
• Provide engineering support during construction including clarifications and field reviews.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure WisDOT standards and guidelines compliance.
• Contribute to proposal development and project lifecycle activities.
